Hello from Comic-Con International in San Diego…and the fact that I haven't had three seconds to post here 'til now should give you some idea how busy I've been. I won't elaborate on what a great time I'm having since if you're here, you're having your own great time and if you aren't here, you don't want to hear what you're missing. Yes, the place is packed and yes, it can be loud, especially around the videogame aisles. I still enjoy every second of it. True, working your way through the exhibit hall, you can get into some ridiculous traffic jams, especially since folks in costumes and folks with cameras all seem to think that the center of anyplace people need to walk is the perfect place for a photo op. Even then, there's usually plenty of interesting things to look at while you inch your way along.
Speaking of walking: I do a lot of it at these conventions but I never knew how much. This year, I brought along a pedometer which informs me that the first day of the con, Thursday, I hiked 4.84 miles. Friday, it was 6.89 miles. I'll probably put on two miles tomorrow just doing Quick Draw! Stay tuned for the final totals.
I was going to write a longer post tonight but I'm seriously beat. See you in the morning…or sometime.
