Questions of Little Consequence #1

Whatever happened to Turkey Noodle Soup?  From what I can tell, Campbell's no longer makes it, Progresso no longer makes it, nobody makes it. The one restaurant in L.A. where I used to get and enjoy it went out of business.  What's wrong with Turkey Noodle Soup?  Everyone loves Chicken Noodle Soup and Turkey Noodle is (or maybe was) basically the same thing except, in my opinion, usually better.

In fact, if you read the very-fine print on labels on some kinds of Chicken Noodle Soup, you'll see that they sometimes incorporate turkey stock into their Chicken Noodle Soup.  It's like if they want to put some Turkey Noodle Soup into your Chicken Noodle Soup, they feel the need to hide it so you might not know what you're eating.

My mother used to make a great Turkey Noodle Soup, usually out of the carcass of a roast turkey we'd had on Thanksgiving or sometimes a non-holiday.  One time when I had to have a couple of wisdom teeth extracted, she bought some turkey wings and made me Turkey Noodle Soup to eat for the few days when I couldn't eat solid food.   It was wonderful and so was she.

I miss Turkey Noodle Soup.  I miss my mother more but I still miss Turkey Noodle Soup.  Whatever happened to it?
