It's very hot lately here in Los Angeles. Actually, it's very hot in a lot of places and I know this because around half the people I know — and I know a lot of people — feel the need to call or write me and tell me how hot is it and how miserable they are. A lot of them act like they believe I can do something about it.
Actually, I can…a little. I told you all where to buy an inexpensive, portable fan that you can place anywhere and recharge like any battery-powered USB device. They seem to be out of the green ones with the light on them but they have the blue ones in stock.
I also have found that the heat is more endurable if you don't keep talking about it and complaining about it. At least, I can. Do what you can with fans, adjusting windows, showering, drinking lots of water…all the usual things. But talking endlessly about the temperature will not make it go down one degree, Celsius or Fahrenheit. For your own good, give it a try.
